Overview
Description
If you’re new to Slow Bal, though, there’s no need to worry: on Friday, there’s an introductory Slow Bal class designed specifically to introduce you to the dance – from its origins, steps, figures, and music to the flow of the dance itself.
What you’ve learned in the classes you can take straight to the dance floor. On Saturday night, get ready for an amazing party with live music by The Stardust Syncopators – playing the perfect blend of slow and fast tunes to keep you on your toes!
Let the warm and inviting atmosphere captivate you as you dance, learn, and celebrate with fellow Balboa lovers in one of Germany’s most beautiful cities. Come join us – the dance floor is waiting for you!
Travel notes
What to know
The Hep Cat Club – where the entire festival takes place – is located right next to Augsburg Main Station, making it extremely easy to reach by public transport; and there are plenty of accommodation and dining options nearby.
The closest major airport is Franz-Josef-Strauß Airport in Munich (MUC), with easy public transportation options available to Augsburg. For dancers planning to attend, it's a good idea to book accommodation and register for the festival in advance, as popular events can fill up quickly.
