What to know
Basel is a gem where medieval lanes meet bold modern architecture — and in late June, the weather is perfect for our favourite local ritual: a swim in the Rhine. Getting here is easy, with EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg just minutes away and excellent train connections across Europe.
The city is compact and walkable, with trams and buses taking you anywhere in minutes. You'll find accommodation for every budget, and while Basel leans a touch pricier than other European cities, the charm more than makes up for it.
