Travel notes
What to know
The city of Salamina is likely to have a lively and festive atmosphere during the event, given its seaside location and proximity to Athens. In October, the weather is generally mild, with temperatures possibly ranging from cool to warm, so it's a good idea to pack layers. To get to Salamina, attendees usually fly into Athens' airport or take a train to Athens and then connect to the island. Accommodation and food costs may vary, but it's likely that prices will be moderate, with options ranging from budget-friendly to more upscale. For dancers planning to attend, it's a good idea to book accommodation and transportation in advance, and to research local transportation options, such as buses or ferries, to get around the island. Overall, Salamina in October can be a great destination for a festival trip, with a pleasant climate and a variety of activities to enjoy.
